# Liverpool: Fans love Oxlade-Chamberlain’s return to form in Champions League goal-fest

**Liverpool’s 4-1 win away at Genk in the Champions League on Wednesday night was far from perfect [according](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/oct/23/liverpool-condemn-offrnsive-divock-origi-banner-displayed-by-fans-in-genk) to Jurgen Klopp, but they got the job done. Indeed, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scored the Reds’ first two goals on the second and 57th minute to push Genk out of sight, and his performance was a major boost for the busy months ahead.**

He was rated 8.93/10 by [Who Scored](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/84146/Show/Alex-Oxlade-Chamberlain) for his performance and during his 74 minutes on the pitch he also made a [key pass and two successful dribbles](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/84146/Show/Alex-Oxlade-Chamberlain) to open up the Genk defence. He’s only managed to make just [one start this season and three subs appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alex-oxlade-chamberlain/profil/spieler/143424), so Klopp will be pleased that Oxlade-Chamberlain is finally getting back to the form he’s capable of.

These Reds fans know how important the 26-year-old could be in winning their first-ever Premier League trophy, and they made their love for him known on Twitter. The club’s official account posted a video the player made thanking the fans and expressing his delight at the team’s second half and over 200 fans replied to the message.
