# Liverpool: Fans love training footage of Joel Matip

**A number of Liverpool fans have been showing their love for Joel Matip, following a video of a brilliant solo effort from the centre-back in training.**

The Reds are now back in pre-season, as they look to embark on what is hopefully a memorable 2021/22 campaign.

Jurgen Klopp and his players should be well-rested after being afforded a well-earned breather, barring those still away after international duties.

Matip suffered a hugely frustrating season last time around, missing a huge chunk of proceedings as his [injury woes](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/joel-matip/verletzungen/spieler/82105) continued.

The Cameroonian is back fit again and looking to be a key man moving forward, however, and he looks to have the bit between his teeth.

Footage has emerged \[via [*LFC Transfer Room*](https://twitter.com/LFCTransferRoom/status/1416125859119968263?s=20) on Twitter\] of Matip scoring a great individual effort in training, finishing well after a strong run.
