# Liverpool: Fans mock Noel Gallagher after his dismissive comments towards the Reds

**Liverpool fans mocked famous Manchester City fan Noel Gallagher after comments he made about Jurgen Klopp’s side before the current campaign began.**

The Premier League champions are currently sitting [14](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/table) points behind the Reds as their hopes of claiming a third-straight title are diminishing.

Pep Guardiola’s side fell [3-1](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50369640) to the Merseyside club in November, which put Liverpool nine points clear at the summit at the time.

Before the crunch clash, the Longsight-born musician told talkSPORT (via the [Liverpool Echo](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-manchester-city-noel-gallagher-17224907)) if Klopp’s side didn’t win that game, they would never win England’s top tier.

Due to how the Premier League table currently looks, fans reminded the former Oasis star about the comments he made about Liverpool in the summer.

Gallagher told [Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11679/11778192/noel-gallagher-discusses-var-pep-guardiola-and-manchester-citys-true-rivals) that the Reds are no longer rivals and believes that as long as Guardiola is in charge of his team, they would win the league every year.

Supporters laughed at his pre-season remarks and made their feelings clear about them on social media.

> Is it still too funny Noel? “Some might say” that “Maybe” he’ll regret his arrogance come the season end but please “Don’t Look Back in Anger”. Now all LFC fans, “Stand by Me” because “Little by Little” we’re moving towards our “Champagne Supernova”. We just gotta “Roll with It”.

> He’s knows even less about footy than his brother..and that’s a tough task. They will both run off and follow Celtic again soon.
