# Liverpool: Fans mock Tottenham after Luis Diaz update

**A number of Liverpool supporters have mocked Tottenham after a fresh update emerged regarding the Reds’ imminent signing of Luis Diaz.**

An exciting transfer rumour emerged on Friday, with Liverpool reportedly [on the verge](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/60165986) of snapping up the Porto winger in a big-money deal.

While the move isn’t yet completed, a medical is expected to take place in South America over the weekend before Diaz officially becomes a Reds player ([Neil Jones](https://twitter.com/neiljonesgoal/status/1486996279758569472)).

And, according to a transfer update from [Duncan Castles](https://www.si.com/soccer/liverpool/nonlfc/tottenham-furious-at-losing-portos-luis-diaz-to-liverpool) \[via [*Anfield Watch*](https://twitter.com/AnfieldWatch/status/1487147411764133892?s=20&t=Hb4cAGQH8F2Blw27tyXnrA) on Twitter\], Spurs are angry that news of their interest in Diaz leaked, allowing Liverpool to gain knowledge of the situation.
