# Liverpool: Fans not impressed with Trent Alexander-Arnold during Burnley clash

**Many Liverpool fans were not happy with right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold during his side’s Premier League encounter against Burnley on Thursday night.**

The pressure was on the Reds to [claw the gap](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) on the teams above them following a recent slump in their form, the first glimpse of a chink in their armour for around two and a half seasons.

It was a case of déjà vu for the England international, who received the [same treatment](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/liverpool-fc-news/liverpool-fans-show-concern-towards-trent-alexander-arnold-after-another-stalemate/) from segments of the Kop faithful after their [0-0](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/55699101) draw against Manchester United.

His crossing was [way off](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/football/55324727) as the Reds couldn’t conjure up any glaring opportunities from the wide areas. Because of how far Alexander-Arnold was pushing forward, the visitors were looking [dangerous](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/football/55324727) in and around the box on the counter-attack.

Once again, supporters were beginning to grow increasingly annoyed with the local lad, with some suggesting that he should be dropped for Sunday’s trip to Old Trafford.
