# Liverpool: Fans overjoyed by Harvey Elliott fee

**Many Liverpool fans have been reacting in delight after a conclusion to Harvey Elliott’s compensation claim by Fulham was reached.**

According to The Times’ journalist [Paul Joyce](https://twitter.com/_pauljoyce/status/1359628351221215235), the Reds will have to pay £1.2m upfront to the Cottagers for the 17-year-old, which could rise to £4.3m depending on first-team appearances, and there is also a 20% sell-on clause attached to the deal.

Elliott is currently on loan at Championship side Blackburn Rovers and allegedly left one of his senior teammates stunned, as the player [stated](https://www.footballinsider247.com/unreal-exclusive-liverpool-kid-dubbed-by-teammate-best-17-yr-old-ive-ever-seen/) that he was the “best 17-year-old” he had ever seen.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is also a [huge fan](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/jurgen-klopp-honours-harvey-elliott-18647492) of the youngster, who has scored four goals and provided eight assists in 23 appearances this season ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/harvey-elliott/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/565822)).

Unsurprisingly, Liverpool supporters were overjoyed by the low fee that is being paid for Elliott, with one fan praising the club’s owners Fenway Sports Group (FSG) who have received [scrutiny](https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/juergen-klopp-has-been-let-down-by-liverpool-owners-zzl089lcn) in recent weeks over their handling of transfers.
