# Liverpool: Fans react as Bissouma is linked to the club

**Many Liverpool fans are reacting to the latest transfer rumours, which are linking Brighton player Yves Bissouma with a move to Anfield.**

According to [@alex\_crook](https://twitter.com/alex_crook) and tweeted out by [@TheAnfieldTalk](https://twitter.com/TheAnfieldTalk/status/1334503676522749958?s=20), Liverpool and Arsenal are considering a January swoop for the midfielder. The defensive ace has featured [nine times](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/303096/Show/Yves-Bissouma) in the Premier League this season, scoring [one](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/303096/Show/Yves-Bissouma) goal.

He is clearly a rock in the midfield and provides great cover for his back line as he has managed 3.2 tackles and 1.9 clearances a game ([WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/303096/Show/Yves-Bissouma)). These sorts of stats have seen some Reds fans praising the Seagulls ace, with one even calling him a ‘beast’.

However, it seems like many do not want the [24 year-old](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/yves-bissouma/profil/spieler/410425) and one of the main reasons behind this is due to the abundance of talent they already have in the middle of the pitch. They have their [experienced midfielders](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-liverpool/startseite/verein/31) like Thiago, Jordan Henderson and Fabinho, but also have some great emerging [young talent](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-liverpool/startseite/verein/31) like [Curtis Jones](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/curtis-jones/profil/spieler/433188), who scored in the Champions League this week.

The Gunners meanwhile could need some midfield reinforcements to follow summer arrival Thomas Partey, who is already [injured](https://www.football.london/arsenal-fc/news/mikel-arteta-explains-thomas-partey-19397177).
