# Liverpool: Fans react as Diogo Jota injury news emerges

**Many Liverpool fans reacted in relief after news emerged regarding the fitness of crocked star Diogo Jota.**

According to [The Athletic](https://theathletic.com/2361647/2021/02/02/liverpool-score-brighton-lfc/) journalist James Pearce, the 24-year-old will not be ready to feature against Manchester City as Sunday will come too soon for him. However, the Portugal international could make a return against either Leicester City or RB Leipzig in the Champions League.
