# Liverpool: Fans react as Fabrizio Romano drops hint regarding David Carmo

**Many Liverpool fans went wild as transfer expert Fabrizio Romano dropped a subtle hint regarding the Reds’ pursuit for Sporting Braga defender David Carmo.**

[Anfield Watch](https://twitter.com/AnfieldWatch/status/1356273718079664129) shared the news that Jurgen Klopp’s side were showing late interest in the 21-year-old, which was initially [provided](https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1356228994597871622?s=20) by Romano earlier on Monday, to which he [responded](https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1356274471447965697) with a cheeky winking emoji.

Carmo has made [36](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/david-carmo/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/498237) appearances for the Liga NOS side since breaking into the first-team and picked up [seven](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/david-carmo/nationalmannschaft/spieler/498237/verein_id/16373) caps for Portugal at U20-level.

It is no secret that Liverpool have been hunting for fresh faces at the back after their [injury crisis](https://inews.co.uk/sport/football/liverpool-injury-news-latest-list-alisson-thiago-alexander-arnold-robertson-henderson-780156) which has ruled out all four of their defensive options.

Unsurprisingly, supporters went crazy on social media following Romano’s subtle hint and made their feelings clear on social media, even despite a reported deal to sign [Ozan Kabak from Schalke](https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/liverpool/ozan-kabak-transfer-news-confirmed-b1795928.html).
