# Liverpool: Fans react as Oxlade-Chamberlain looks to be back in training

**Liverpool have had a lot of bad luck this season as they have had [several](https://www.premierinjuries.com/injury-table.php) key players ruled out due to injury. However, many fans are rejoicing due to the fact that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain looks to be close to returning to match fitness.**

The Englishman posted an image on Instagram of himself with a ball at his feet, a picture which was subsequently posted on Twitter by [@AnfieldWatch](https://twitter.com/AnfieldWatch/status/1328047418169028608?s=20). The [27-year-old](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alex-oxlade-chamberlain/verletzungen/spieler/143424) suffered an injury in August and has been out since but he looks like he’s closing in on what will be a much-welcomed return.

This is not the only good news that Liverpool have had on the injury front this week as it has been recently reported that both [Thiago and Fabinho](https://www.premierinjuries.com/injury-table.php) are close to returning too, so Klopp is close to having a strong selction of midfield options to choose from once again, although Fabinho could be asked to play in defence again due to the long-term injuries to Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk.

Speaking in the past about Oxlade-Chamberlain, Klopp [said](https://www.thisisanfield.com/2019/11/jurgen-klopp-praises-ox-mentality-agrees-theres-quite-some-space-for-improvement/): ‘He had a lot of moments where he was really outstanding.’ Someone rated so highly by the manager will be a huge lift when returning to the squad, especially with the injury crisis at the club currently.

Hopefully, Oxlade-Chamberlain will be fully fit as soon as possible so that Klopp can add some much-needed quality and depth to his depleted squad.
