# Liverpool: Fans react casually to injury update from Alisson

**Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson has indicated that he is making discernible progress in his recovery from the [calf injury that he picked up in the Reds’ win over Norwich](https://www.skysports.com/football/liverpool-vs-norwich/407981) last month.**

Speaking about his injury recovery with the club’s official website [liverpoolfc.com](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/365946-alisson-becker-injury-recovery-adrian-kelleher-interview), the [Brazil international](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alisson/profil/spieler/105470) said “I think we are nearly there”, with Liverpool sharing the update on their official Twitter channel [@LFC](https://twitter.com/LFC/status/1176758629309042689).

The 26-year-old has been [out of action since the game against Norwich](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alisson/leistungsdaten/spieler/105470) in early August, but he was this week named as the [Best FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper](https://www.fifa.com/the-best-fifa-football-awards/best-fifa-mens-goalkeeper/) at The Best FIFA Football Awards after keeping [27 clean sheets in all competitions last season](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alisson/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/105470) and [helping Liverpool to win the Champions League](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/48368443).

In Alisson’s absence, [Adrian has deputised in goal](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adrian/leistungsdaten/spieler/71271) and helped the Reds to [six consecutive wins at the start of the Premier League season](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-liverpool/spielplan/verein/31), as well as making a [decisive save in the penalty shoot-out triumph over Chelsea in the UEFA Super Cup in August](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/aug/14/liverpool-chelsea-uefa-super-cup-match-report).

These Liverpool fans on Twitter seemed happy with Alisson’s update on his progress but also showed their appreciation for Adrian’s performances in recent weeks:
