# Liverpool: Fans not keen on Loris Karius as ‘keeper pictured in training with Reds squad

**Plenty of Liverpool fans have been reacting after images emerged of [Loris Karius](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/liverpool-fc-news/liverpool-fans-shocked-loris-karius-comments-challenge-alisson/) in training with the Reds’ squad in Austria.**

As per [Empire of the Kop](https://www.empireofthekop.com/2020/08/16/photos-loris-karius-is-back-german-goalkeeper-makes-liverpool-return-after-two-years-away/), the German goalkeeper was pictured training with Jurgen Klopp’s squad, having returned to his parent club following [two years on loan with Besiktas](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/313594-loris-karius-besiktas-loan).

The 27-year-old’s Liverpool career has been overshadowed by his [two costly errors](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/44258022) in the 2018 Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid, with [further mistakes in pre-season](https://www.goal.com/en-ie/news/karius-slams-critics-despite-error-in-dortmund-defeat/qsc3qhz1flvk10pa6i1ah9l0b) later that summer adding to the damage to his reputation.

Karius’ spell in Turkey was also tainted by errors, including a [misjudged charge from his goal](https://www.givemesport.com/1506597-loris-karius-makes-another-howler-for-besiktas-vs-slovan-bratislava) in a Europa League match against Slovan Bratislava last year, while he blamed some mistakes on the [positioning of floodlights impeding his vision](https://www.givemesport.com/1552702-loris-karius-blames-the-turkish-floodlights-for-his-mistakes-at-besiktas).

During his time away, Adrian has been [signed by the Reds](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/359359-liverpool-fc-complete-signing-of-goalkeeper-adrian), but the Spaniard was also culpable of fateful mistakes in games against [Chelsea](https://www.bbc.com/sport/av/football/51730084) and [Atletico Madrid](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/adrian-admits-liverpools-champions-league-18300611) last season.

[Empire of the Kop](https://twitter.com/empireofthekop/status/1294901224567975937) asked followers if they feel that Karius deserves another chance at Liverpool, but many have already lost patience with the German following his error-strewn career:
