**Liverpool are reportedly monitoring Real Sociedad striker Alexander Isak, leaving Reds fans very excited on social media.**

Enjoying an outstanding season, Sweden international Isak scored 17 goals in 34 La Liga fixtures,  leading his side to a commendable [fifth place finish](https://www.google.com/search?q=la+liga+2020%2F21+table&rlz=1C1CHBF_en-GBGB887GB887&oq=la+liga+2020%2F21+table&aqs=chrome..69i57j0i22i30l9.8311j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#sie=lg;/g/11j0y2m458;2;/m/09gqx;st;fp;1;;) in 2020/21 \[[Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alexander-isak/leistungsdaten/spieler/349066)\].

The Reds are said to be ‘keeping a close eye’ on the 21-year-old, who is seen as a potential replacement for forward Roberto Firmino as they re-shape for the future \[Noticias de Gipuzkoa via [Sport Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/liverpool-isak-transfer-real-sociedad/)\].

Intriguingly, Isak has also attracted interest from fellow Premier League side Arsenal in recent months \[[90MIN](https://paininthearsenal.com/2021/06/16/arsenal-isak-transfer-high-priority/)\].

Currently embroiled in an intense EURO 2020 group battle with his native Sweden, the Stockholm-born forward produced an exemplary performance in how to lead the line in his nations 0-0 draw with Spain earlier this week \[[BBC](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51197790)\].
