# Liverpool: Fans react to cryptic Instagram hint from Folarin Balogun

**Many Liverpool fans have been reacting to what Arsenal forward Folarin Balogun has posted on social media, as the Reds target responded cryptically to a post from Curtis Jones.**

Liverpool have been [linked](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/premier-league/liverpool-reds-preparing-january-swoop-for-folarin-balogun/) with the 19-year-old in recent weeks, who has been instrumental for the Gunners’ U23s side during the current campaign, scoring four goals from 10 appearances in the Premier Leauge 2 ([TransferMarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/folarin-balogun/leistungsdaten/spieler/503770)).

Manager Mikel Arteta has been giving the American-born attacker opportunities in the Europa League, and has found the net [twice from four outings.](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/folarin-balogun/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/503770/saison/2020/wettbewerb/EL/verein/11)

Balogun responded to Jones’ post on [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/p/CJO_WQhDDC7/) with a handshaking emoji, to which the Liverpool midfielder responded with a fingers crossed symbol, perhaps implying a deal is being made behind the scenes.

Because of this, supporters erupted in delight, hoping they see Balogun wearing a Liverpool shirt next month.
