# Liverpool: Fans react to Harvey Elliott’s gesture

**A number of Liverpool fans have been hailing Reds youngster Harvey Elliott, following his heartwarming celebration for Blackburn Rovers.**

The 18-year-old is a player with huge potential, having [arrived](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2019/07/28/harvey-elliott-signs-liverpool-fulham/) at Anfield in 2019, being viewed as one of the most exciting teenagers in the country.

Jurgen Klopp saw the need to loan him out for the 2020/21 campaign, however, in order to give him more regular playing time.

That looks to be an inspired decision from the Liverpool manager, with Elliott [joining](https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/transfer-news/blackburn-rovers-harvey-elliott-liverpool-19117825) Blackburn back in October and flourishing at Ewood Park, [scoring six goals and registering 11 assists](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/363982/Show/Harvey-Elliott) in the Championship.

On Friday night, the forward scored the winning goal as Blackburn won 2-1 at home to Derby County, before taking off his shirt to reveal a message to the 96 Liverpool supporters who lost their lives at Hillsborough back in 1989 – You’ll Never Walk Alone.
