# Liverpool: Fans react to Jamie Carragher’s transfer comments

**Fans of Liverpool have been reacting to a post on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/AnfieldWatch/status/1358875047641939971), which relayed the comments of former Reds star Jamie Carragher, who called for the club to make a number of summer signings.**

Speaking on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football (via [Anfield Watch](https://twitter.com/AnfieldWatch/status/1358875047641939971)), Carragher urged Jurgen Klopp to go out and sign ‘three players’ this summer, specifically a ‘centre back, someone to replace \[Georginio\] Wijnaldum and someone to come in for the front three.’

So far this season, Liverpool have been [plagued by a number of injuries](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-liverpool/ausfallzeiten/verein/31), with Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip and Joe Gomez all suffering potentially season-ending knocks and summer signing Diogo Jota also being sidelined for a number of weeks, while Wijnaldum is [yet to sign a new deal on Merseyside](https://www.empireofthekop.com/2021/01/28/wijnaldum-contract-situation-has-gotten-really-really-complicated-fabrizio-romano/), with his current contract set to expire at the end of the season.

And, after [Anfield Watch](https://twitter.com/AnfieldWatch/status/1358875047641939971) relayed the comments of Carragher on Twitter, fans of the club flocked to have their say on the matter, with many appearing in agreement with the 43-year-old’s demands for the summer window.
