# Liverpool: Fans react with glee to Alisson’s Instagram story

**Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson appears to be making steady progress towards a return to first-team action after he shared a video on social media of him in light training.**

The 26-year-old posted a video to his [Instagram story](https://www.instagram.com/stories/alissonbecker?hl=en) which shows him performing gentle training exercises at Melwood, a clip that was shared on Twitter by [Liverpool-focused sports writer](https://punditarena.com/author/doconnell/) Dave O’Connell. \[[via @DaveOCKOP](https://twitter.com/DaveOCKOP/status/1169569021425016833)\]

Alisson has been [out of action for the Reds](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alisson/leistungsdaten/spieler/105470) since [picking up a calf injury in the 4-1 win over Norwich](https://www.skysports.com/football/liverpool-vs-norwich/407981) on the opening day of the Premier League season nearly a month ago.

While Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp refused to give the [Liverpool Echo](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-injury-latest-alisson-keita-15252819) a specific anticipated return date, [The Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/matches-liverpool-goalkeeper-alisson-set-18922353) had suggested that he would be out of action until after the Reds’ visit to Chelsea on September 21st.

Liverpool have [lifted the UEFA Super Cup](https://www.theguardian.com/football/live/2019/aug/14/liverpool-v-chelsea-uefa-super-cup-2019-live) and [won all their Premier League games](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-liverpool/spielplan/verein/31) in Alisson’s absence, but these Reds fans on Twitter were delighted to see the goalkeeper back in training:
