# Liverpool: Fans respond humorously to tweet from Alison Becker

**With Liverpool confirming this week that they will [use two separate squads](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/372222-club-statement-carabao-cup-aston-villa) for their Carabao Cup game at Aston Villa on December 17th and Club World Cup semi-final in Qatar a day later, [@TrollFootball](https://twitter.com/TrollFootball/status/1192008982459637760) on Twitter came up with a mock Reds team for the game at Villa Park.**

They substituted in people and places with names similar to those in [Liverpool’s first team squad](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-liverpool/kader/verein/31/saison_id/2019), suggesting that American actress Alison Becker would take the place of Reds goalkeeper [Alisson Becker](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alisson/profil/spieler/105470).

She took the joke with good humour, responding with a tweet saying “Haha this is awesome” \[via [@thealisonbecker](https://twitter.com/thealisonbecker/status/1192135127821774849)\]

It is not the first time that she has poked fun at the similarity of her name to that of the Liverpool and Brazil goalkeeper. She previously [tweeted a photo of her head on Alisson’s body](https://twitter.com/thealisonbecker/status/1167140342799355904?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1167140342799355904&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.buzz.ie%2Ffootball%2Fgoalkeeper-celebrity-impersonator-340787) after he was named [Champions League Goalkeeper of the Season](https://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/news/newsid=2618575.html) for 2018/19, as well as [joking that she would play in goal against Newcastle](https://twitter.com/thealisonbecker/status/1171251418436489216?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1171251418436489216&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.buzz.ie%2Ffootball%2Fgoalkeeper-celebrity-impersonator-340787) in September while Alisson was [out injured with a calf problem](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alisson/verletzungen/spieler/105470).

These Liverpool fans on Twitter reacted with a similar degree of humour to her latest Reds-related tweet:

> You can do this Alison. Get us to the final!
