# Liverpool: Fans slate Sadio Mane during Everton defeat

**Many Liverpool fans questioned the current form of forward Sadio Mane following his side’s 2-0 defeat to Everton on Saturday.**

The Reds fell to their fourth-straight Premier League defeat and their fourth in-a-row at Anfield for the [first time](https://www.goal.com/en/news/derby-defeat-sees-liverpool-hit-98-year-low-after-fourth/79vf48ziuzo11m2nszwu0m8oa) since before the Second World War.

Liverpool can’t seem to create many opportunities of late – scoring goals have been a significant issue in their game and Mane was flagged up for exactly this concern.

Per [Sofascore](https://www.sofascore.com/everton-liverpool/UsY), Mane lost 14 duels out of 20 attempted, only had four successful dribbles and lost possession 20 times.

With this in mind, supporters were critical towards Mane despite scoring seven times from 22 appearances this season ([Whoscored](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/109915/Show/Sadio-Man%C3%A9)). However, these fans believe that he is not the same player as he has been in recent campaigns.

### Mane fails to impress these fans

**“First half, apart from maybe Hendo’s snap shot, #LFC were dire going forward. Mané in particular looked awful. Everton on the other hand, not great, but efficient and far more effective when they had the ball.”**

**“What’s going wrong with Mane and Bobby? Both of them look miles off their best. Mane specifically looks like struggling a great deal. It’s so ridiculous we needed a goal scorer this time around and sent Taki on loan knowing Jota will be still out for a while. #LFC”**
