# Liverpool: Fans trust Jurgen Klopp’s judgement on selection dilemma

**Liverpool-focused Twitter channel Anfield Watch invited followers to name the midfield trio they would most like to see in Jurgen Klopp’s starting XI. \[[via @AnfieldWatch](https://twitter.com/anfieldwatch/status/1193961496134520832?s=21)\]**

With the manager [routinely fielding three midfield players](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-liverpool/spielplandatum/verein/31) in his starting line-up, he has been given plenty of food for thought by the recent form of those playing in that part of the pitch.

Including the 1-1 draw at Manchester United on October 20th, no fewer than six Liverpool midfielders have found the net since then, with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain leading the way with [four goals](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alex-oxlade-chamberlain/leistungsdaten/spieler/143424) while [Adam Lallana](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adam-lallana/leistungsdaten/spieler/43530), [Jordan Henderson](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jordan-henderson/leistungsdaten/spieler/61651), [James Milner](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/james-milner/leistungsdaten/spieler/3333), [Georginio Wijnaldum](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/georginio-wijnaldum/leistungsdaten/spieler/49499) and [Fabinho](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fabinho/leistungsdaten/spieler/225693) have all scored one each in that time.

The [only senior midfielder yet to get off the mark this season](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-liverpool/leistungsdaten/verein/31) has been Naby Keita, who has been [restricted to eight appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/naby-keita/leistungsdaten/spieler/302215) in a campaign that has seen him [miss six weeks with a torn muscle bundle](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/naby-keita/verletzungen/spieler/302215) as well as [limping out of the Carabao Cup game against Arsenal](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1197921/liverpool-news-naby-keita-injury-update-jurgen-klopp) in October.

The glut of goals from midfield is all the more remarkable considering that, prior to last month’s international break, the only midfielders to have scored for the Reds this season were [Milner (two) and Wijnaldum (one)](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-liverpool/leistungsdaten/verein/31).

Fabinho, Wijnaldum and Henderson have been Liverpool’s three most-used midfielders so far in 2019/20, each playing for more than 1,000 minutes across the Reds’ 20 games in all competitions. \[[via TransferMarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-liverpool/leistungsdaten/verein/31)\]

With such an abundance of midfield options at Klopp’s disposal, these Liverpool fans on Twitter are seemingly content to back the manager over what is quite a crucial selection dilemma:
