# Liverpool: Fans want Reds to sign Houssem Aouar

**Some Liverpool supporters are desperate for the Reds to sign Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar this summer following an update on his future.**

The Reds have had a season to forget in 2020/21, with so much going wrong for Jurgen Klopp and his side. Klopp may be looking at a number of key areas in which to add, including centre-back and attack, while a creative midfielder could potentially be brought in.

Someone with whom the Reds have been [linked](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/liverpool-fc-transfer-rumours/liverpool-fans-eager-to-sign-houssem-aouar-david-maddock-update/) in the past is Aouar, who continues to shine in the middle of the park for Lyon, [scoring six goals](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/322096/Show/Houssem-Aouar) and registering three assists in Ligue 1 this season.

According to [L’Equipe](https://www.lequipe.fr/) \[via [The Anfield Buzz on Twitter](https://twitter.com/TheAnfieldBuzz/status/1391748728717983746?s=20)\], the Frenchman could be allowed to leave for €30m (£25.8m) this summer, acting as a possible boost for the Reds.
