# Liverpool: Fans want the Reds to sign Federico Chiesa

**Many Liverpool supporters have been calling for Federico Chiesa to sign for the Reds after his Champions League match-winning performance.**

The Juventus winger scored the only goal [10 seconds](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/58724930) into the second half to beat European champions Chelsea in Turin on Wednesday night.

The 23-year-old completed [91% of his passes as well as all of his dribbles](https://www.sofascore.com/chelsea-juventus/NsMdb) and won [seven ground duels](https://www.sofascore.com/chelsea-juventus/NsMdb) against Thomas Tuchel’s side, with his left-footed goal the difference in an impressive performance for the Old Lady.

After being [linked with a move](https://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/Calciomercato/Juventus/25-07-2021/juve-chiesa-riufiutata-offerta-liverpool-4103038567140.shtml?cmpid=shortener_0b058e85Sq) to Anfield during the summer, Chiesa has scored just [twice this season](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/federico-chiesa/leistungsdaten/spieler/341092) as Juventus have only won two of their opening six Serie A games, but his impressive [European Championship](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/federico-chiesa/leistungsdaten/spieler/341092/plus/0?saison=2020) performances during the summer have seen the top clubs around Europe take notice. He scored [15 goals in 46 appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/federico-chiesa/leistungsdaten/spieler/341092/plus/0?saison=2020) last season before netting two goals for Italy in their Euro 2020 triumph.

With Sadio Mane [struggling](https://www.si.com/soccer/liverpool/news/sadio-mane-addresses-his-poor-form) to hit the same heights as in 2019/20, when he scored [18 Premier League goals](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/sadio-mane/leistungsdaten/spieler/200512/plus/0?saison=2019), some Liverpool fans want Chiesa to come in and possibly replace the Senegal international as they look to reclaim the Premier League title.
