# Liverpool: Fans want to see Marko Grujic getting a chance at Anfield next season

**Marko Grujic has not had much of a look-in at Liverpool since becoming Jurgen Klopp’s first signing for the club back in 2016, as noted by [ESPN](https://www.espn.co.uk/football/soccer-transfers/story/2780433/marko-grujic-confirmed-as-liverpool-player).**

The Serbian midfielder has been [loaned out to Red Star Belgrade, Cardiff and Hertha Berlin](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marko-grujic/transfers/spieler/222813) in that time, with the 23-year-old currently spending a [second season at the latter](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marko-grujic/transfers/spieler/222813).

Grujic has been in decent form for Hertha Berlin in recent weeks, [scoring twice and providing one assist in eight appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marko-grujic/leistungsdaten/spieler/222813) for the Bundesliga club this season after [five goals and an assist in 2018/19](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marko-grujic/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/222813).

He has only made [14 appearances for Liverpool’s first team](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marko-grujic/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/222813), but Reds fan [@GrizzKhan](https://twitter.com/GrizzKhan/status/1184408152227438592) on Twitter has called for him to be integrated into Klopp’s squad for next season.

> Can most certainly see Grujic replacing Lallana in the LFC squad next season. Grujic is gaining valuable experience in the bundesliga playing week in week out for Hertha Berlin. [#LFC](https://twitter.com/hashtag/LFC?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw)

Part of that thinking is with an eye to Adam Lallana’s future at the club, with the England midfielder turning 32 next May and [starting just one match in all competitions](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adam-lallana/leistungsdaten/spieler/43530) so far this term, as well as being [out of contract at the end of the campaign](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adam-lallana/profil/spieler/43530).

These Liverpool fans on Twitter agree that Grujic should be given a chance at Anfield once his loan spell at Hertha Berlin comes to an end:

> It’s hard to disagree with everything you say. Spot on again.

> Agreed, Grujic has improved massively at Hertha and I think he’s ready for LFC now

> Should give Grujic a good go in preseason and see how he goes.

> Can never forget his goal vs barca in preseason couple of years back. This lad has potential

> Well lallana gone and eventually milner has to be out of contention weekly at some point. Grujic replacing 2 ageing in the squad, then add a quality winger. It then looks a lot more balanced.
