The Verdict: Exciting

The fact that Jurgen Klopp's side are trying to push through a deal for Bellingham now will come as exciting news for Reds supporters.

With Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and James Milner's contracts expiring this summer, and Jordan Henderson (32) and Thiago (31) in their 30's, Liverpool are in desperate need of a revamp in the middle of the park, and Bellingham (19) has the potential to be a mainstay in the side for the next decade.

The central midfielder was England's second-best performer at the World Cup in Qatar, scoring one goal and making one assist, and picking up one man-of-the-match award on their way to making the quarter-finals (WhoScored).

At Borussia Dortmund, he managed an impressive nine goals and three assists from midfield before the break (WhoScored), and seems to be growing in stature every game he plays at the highest level.

Nonetheless, even if they have to wait until the summer, what a signing Bellingham would be for the Reds.
