Liverpool fans vented their frustrations towards midfielder Harry Wilson following the club’s Carabao Cup exit at the hands of Arsenal at Anfield last night.
The Reds couldn’t break down Mikel Arteta’s side during normal time and were dumped out of the competition on penalties, where Wilson was one of Jurgen Klopp’s men who missed from 12 yards.
It wasn’t just his spot-kick woes that segments of the Kop faithful took exception to, but his overall performance on the night too. Sofascore recorded that he only won four out of his 12 individual duels and that he failed to register a shot on goal and that he gave away possession 13 times.
While it was a fairly uneventful affair, the hosts did have their chances to win the game, but the Gunners’ goalkeeper Bernd Leno kept Liverpool at bay.
Should Liverpool sell Wilson?
As you can see, these supporters were not impressed with the 17-capped Welsh international’s outing. Some believe that his time at Anfield should come to an end.
Here are some of the frustrated comments from fans aimed towards the Welshman:
That’s Wilson done at #LFC

Think Wilson showed why we’re looking to sell him. Pretty much invisible for the whole game #LFC

Think that’s the first and last time we’ll see Harry Wilson okay a senior game for Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool.#LFC

Harry Wilson had struggled to make an impact on the game, is he better than any of the other midfielders available when all are fit?! #lfc
