Somehow, Loris Karius is still on the books of Liverpool.
His career as a playing member of the first-team squad probably ended two years ago in Kiev. During the 2017/18 campaign, the German had been an important member of the side that made the Champions League final, having played in all 12 games up until that point – those performances saw him selected for the final as well.
However, whilst it should have been arguably the greatest moment of his career, it will be a game he will likely wish never happened. As Real Madrid won 3-1 to lift the trophy, the 26-year-old made two horrific mistakes which led to him leaving the field in tears.
Would you like to see Karius return to Liverpool?
Since then, he has been on loan at Besiktas, but recently returned to Liverpool. He won’t be there long, though, according to Turkish outlet Sabah (via The Daily Express) who say a deal has already been agreed with Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin – they will apparently take him on loan next term.
This news has led to the Reds fans talking, and they have taken to Twitter to do so – one fan even called him “Judas”. You can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.
Why the club couldn’t just offload him for good permanently?

Great solution, kudos to the club for getting it resolved so quickly. Time to crack on with new contracts for Allison, Gini & Van Djik
