Liverpool fans have slammed Luis Suarez after Jordan Henderson suggested the striker should be given a nice reception when he returns to Anfield with Atletico Madrid.

Suarez spent spent four years with the Reds as he became one of the best strikers to play for the club in the Premier League era. In 133 games, he scored 82 goals and provided 47 assists (Transfermarkt), leading the line as Liverpool almost won the Premier League title during the 2013/14 campaign.

He made the move to Barcelona from the Merseyside outfit, and he has not endeared himself to Liverpool fans since then, particularly with the way he celebrated scoring against the Reds (talkSPORT).

He will return to Anfield with Atletico on Wednesday evening and, speaking about the Uruguay international (via The Liverpool Echo), Henderson believes he deserves a good reception on in their Champions League clash.

The comments were shared on Twitter by @AnfieldEdition, and they attracted plenty of attention from the supporters. They took to the social media platform to share their thoughts.
