Harvey Elliott has penned his first professional contract with Liverpool after signing from Fulham last year.
The youngster has embarked on an exciting new career following a move to the Premier League champions last summer. The 17-year-old has been offered a long-term deal with the Reds after he became eligible for a professional contract on his birthday in April.
Will Harvey Elliott become a Liverpool star?
Since he signed from Fulham, Elliott has made history by becoming the youngest ever Liverpool player to feature in a competitive game. His appearance against MK Dons in the Carabao Cup etches his name in the club’s rich history (via Goal).
This season, Elliott has contributed four goals and nine assists across all youth competitions and the EFL Trophy, whilst also making eight senior appearances for the Merseyside outfit (via Transfermarkt).
Fans are delighted to see the 17-year-old commit his future to the club, with one supporter saying it’s ‘great news’. Another has tweeted ‘Can we just forget Thiago for one moment and appreciate how great this news is?’ A lot of Kopites are eager to see the rumours of Thiago Alcantara come to fruition and are overlooking Elliott’s announcement.
