Liverpool: Fans fume at Kostas Tsimikas verdict

Many Liverpool fans have slated popular journalist James Pearce after he was critical towards left-back Kostas Tsimikas.
The Reds slumped to a dismal 2-0 defeat at the hands of Serie A side Atalanta in the Champions League this week, where manager Jurgen Klopp opted to rotate his side. Firstly, because of the injury crisis that his team are going through, but with an eye on Brighton at the weekend as well.
Was Kostas Tsimikas Liverpool's worst player vs Atalanta?
Yes

No

Pearce wrote in his article for The Athletic that it was a “glaring” missed opportunity for Tsimikas to make a statement, with Andy Robertson sat on the bench.
However, he added that there is still time for the Greek defender to find his feet – but was not so kind about striker Divock Origi, something fans would agree on.
Surprisingly, supporters were bizarrely enraged by Pearce’s comments despite statistics suggesting Tsimikas did indeed have a pretty poor evening.

Easy target as he’s new

Tsimikas was literally good, no word on Neco Williams? Dreadful journalism

This really isn’t fair on Kostas. There were far worse performers.

Kostas was our best player, you were in the ground and saw it live shocking form u James

Tsimi played well yesterday. He shouldn’t be the target of scrutiny. The whole team was lost.

I really don’t think Tsimikas was that bad??? Thought he defended fine and was a good outlet when attacking https://t.co/mmfxqxkJht

JESUS CHRIST JAMES
Drop your Tsimikas agenda.
You didn’t even put Neco Williams in the article.
That shows how biased you are.
Dead your agenda towards Tsimikas.
That’s awful.— – (@LFCcarnage) November 27, 2020
AND in other news, Liverpool fans reacted jubilantly to official announcement regarding handful of Klopp’s key assets.
