Some Liverpool supporters are furious after reliable journalist James Pearce claimed Takumi Minamino's injury could be a 'concern'.

The Reds suffered horrendous bad luck in the injury department last season, losing Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip for the majority of the campaign.

Not only that, but a host of other key men were missing for chunks of the campaign, including Jordan Henderson, Thiago and Diogo Jota.

The hope is of course that this season sees far fewer injuries occur, but the early signs aren't encouraging, with Andy Robertson and Roberto Firmino already suffering issues.

Meanwhile, Minamino has flown home from international duty with Japan, with The Athletic's James Pearce admitting on Twitter that the injury is a 'concern'.
