A number of Liverpool supporters have hailed Kostas Tsimikas' impressive performance in the Reds' 2-0 win at home to Atletico Madrid.

Jurgen Klopp's men cruised into the Champions League knockout stages on Wednesday evening, seeing off Atletico with ease at Anfield.

Diogo Jota opened the scoring from a trademark Trent Alexander-Arnold cross before Sadio Mane doubled Liverpool's lead from close-range.

Felipe's red card before half-time effectively ended the game as a contest and the Reds were able to cruise through the rest of proceedings.

It was a night when numerous Liverpool players shone and Tsimikas was superb at left-back, impressing in place of Andy Robertson.

The Greece star played four key passes and created three big chances (one more than Alexander-Arnold), per Sofascore, highlighting his attacking quality throughout with an 8.0 match rating which was second only to the England international on the other flank.
