Liverpool: Fans in hysterics over Joel Matip footage
Many Liverpool cannot contain themselves as they react to footage of popular defender Joel Matip talking about his antics.
The 29-year-old has struggled with injuries since his free transfer from Bundesliga side Schalke in 2016, having missed a total of 60 games due to various fitness issues (TransferMarkt).
Because of this, the Cameroonian centre-back has not been seen much off the pitch, until now. Via Watch LFC, Matip said in a light-hearted interview that he had not seen his fan-made Twitter page No Context Joel Matip, but was made aware of it by his teammates sharing jokes and memes in their group chats.
Matip also added that he does not intend to “walk funny” when he is angry and laughed off the jokes surrounding it.
