Curtis Jones was handed the Player of the Match award after his impressive performance against Lincoln City on Thursday.
Despite the Imps managing to pull two goals back, the Reds made easy work of brushing aside their Carabao Cup opposition. A resounding 7-2 victory sees Jurgen Klopp’s side into the next round of the competition, where they’ll face off against Arsenal.
Should Curtis Jones be a regular starter for Liverpool?
One man who thoroughly impressed was 19-year-old academy graduate Jones, who has been featuring more regularly in Liverpool’s first team games in recent months.
The official Carabao Cup Twitter account has applauded Jones’ Man of the Match display and many Reds have flocked to the comments to purr over the young talent.
One supporter has described the Merseyside local as ‘exceptional’ whilst another has even questioned whether Jones could go on to become the ‘next Stevie G’ after showing similarities of his playing style in the middle of the park.

Future club captain. Already knocking on the door of a starting role in PL games! Has some world class players in front of him but he’s 19 & his level is scary. When called upon he’s been immense and challenging for MOTM.
