Liverpool: Fans let rip at Mark Clattenburg after comments made about Jurgen Klopp

Many Liverpool fans slated former referee Mark Clattenburg after his recent jibe towards manager Jurgen Klopp.
Writing in his MailOnline column, the 45-year-old branded the German tactician as a ‘hypocrite’ when referring to his complaints towards Manchester United getting penalties. But interestingly added that there was an aura around the Red Devils when Sir Alex Ferguson was there – but not anymore.
This comes after Liverpool’s 1-0 defeat to Southampton earlier this month, when Klopp was left frustrated about two penalty decisions that did not go his way on the night.
The Reds are currently second in the Premier League table behind Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, with a crunch clash pencilled in this Sunday between the two teams at Anfield.

Unsurprisingly, supporters took exception to Clattenburg’s remarks in his piece with some fans describing him as “salty” in response to seeing the comments when relayed by @AnfieldWatch onĀ Twitter.
Fans slate Clattenburg
“Clattenburg is a referee. Stay in your lane”

“All this coming from the guy who was United’s 12th man a few years back”
