Liverpool defender Andy Robertson has commented on his goal against Arsenal after redeeming himself for an error at the other end of the pitch.
The Reds played host to the Gunners, who took the lead thanks to a tap in from Alexandre Lacazette, but it was a fluffed clearance from Robertson that handed Arsenal their chance on a silver platter.
Is Andy Robertson Liverpool's best left-back of all time?
However, it wasn’t long before the Scotsman made amends for his error. After Sadio Mane equalised for the reigning Premier League champions, Robertson got himself on the scoresheet after latching onto a pass from fellow full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold.
The official Liverpool Twitter account has posted the left-back’s thoughts on the match after his goal helped see the Reds over the line.
“Luckily, I popped up at the other end and I didn’t let that get to me,” Robertson said, relieved he had the chance to redeem his defensive error.
Many Liverpool fans loved his attitude towards the game and have praised him for his performance and comments. One supporter has said that he is a ‘mentality monster’, whilst another has described his words as ‘elite stuff’.
