Liverpool: Fans slam official nominee list for Player of the Season
Liverpool have had a trio of stars nominated for the 2019/20 Premier League Player of the Season.
The club has announced that Jordan Henderson, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Sadio Mane are all up for the prestigious award.

The three league-winning Reds make up more than 42% of the overall shortlist. Kevin de Bruyne, Nick Pope, Jamie Vardy and former Anfield man Danny Ings are the others to be in contention for the Player of the Season title.
Kopites have started their voting but many aren’t happy with the trio of names. A large chunk of the fanbase feels that the likes of Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah should have also been included in the nominees. Indeed, the Egyptian winger was Liverpool’s top scorer this campaign, notching an impressive 19 goals and 10 assists (via Transfermarkt).
One fan has replied to the news saying it’s ‘disgraceful’ how Salah has been overlooked, whilst another has commented on ‘the disrespect’ Salah is allegedly being shown by the Premier League.

No salah? No Virgil? Salah the most goal and assists. Virgil the best defender in the world. They should also be shortlisted for premier league player of the year.
