Liverpool recently announced the departure of Pedro Chirivella, who will be joining Nantes ahead of the upcoming season.
The 23-year-old is set to join the French side once his contract with the Merseyside outfit runs out at the end of the month. The Spaniard will embark on a new chapter after spending five years at the club.
Chirivella struggled to break into the Liverpool senior squad, making just 11 first team appearances across his time on Merseyside. However, he did notch himself an assist, which came against Shrewsbury Town in this season’s FA Cup run (via Transfermarkt).
Should Neco Williams be given more game time next season?
The 23-year-old has posted an emotional goodbye message on his Twitter and loads of Reds fans have flocked to the post to send their well wishes and thank him for his service to the club. One Kopite has said that Nantes have ‘gained a beast’ whilst another supporter has branded him a ‘quality baller’ as they reflect on his solid performances in the FA Cup this term.
