Salah's performances amplify contract questions

The Egyptian has started the campaign in devastating form with nine goals in as many games.

But there's still uncertainty over his future as he gradually ticks nearer to the end of his contract in June 2023.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andrew Robertson, Fabinho, Alisson Becker, Virgil van Dijk and Jordan Henderson all penned extensions during the summer, but Salah has yet to do so (via Goal).

According to a recent piece from The Athletic, the 29-year-old's preference is to stay at Anfield but up to this point Liverpool 'have been reluctant to pay what he feels he is worth' because it would mean breaking their wage structure.

Here's how supporters reacted to the club's tweet.
