Ex-Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum has lavished praise on his former boss Jurgen Klopp, in a birthday message to the German coach on Twitter.
The Netherlands international completed a switch to Paris St-Germain from Merseyside last week on a contract until 2024, following the expiration of his Liverpool deal [Sky Sports].
Wijnaldum was a key player for the Reds in his time at Anfield, registering 22 goals and 16 assists in 237 games across five years in the North West [Transfermarkt].

Celebrating Klopp’s 54th birthday on Twitter, Wijnaldum wrote: “You’ve been an inspiration to me these last five years and a fantastic boss. Thanks for always believing in me and supporting me in the amazing way you did! Wishing you a happy birthday and all the best.”
As you can imagine, loads of Liverpool diehards also flocked to Twitter to share their input after the midfielder’s post, pouring their hearts out to the Dutchman after his message.
