Liverpool have unsuccessfully tried to have their game against Watford rescheduled in the interests of their Brazil internationals, according to The Telegraph.

The Reds are due to travel to Vicarage Road for their first Premier League game after the international break on 16 October.

It's been selected as a 12.30 kick-off, but Liverpool asked for it to be moved to 19.45.

This is because Brazil, who have called up Reds goalkeeper Alisson Becker and midfielder Fabinho, face Uruguay in the early hours of Friday morning UK time.

A lunchtime kick-off in England on Saturday may come too soon for the pair.

Watford were against the proposal because they felt it would inconvenience some of their supporters.

Who could come into the Liverpool team?

22-year-old Irishman Caoimhin Kelleher could deputise for the Reds between the sticks.

In midfield, Jurgen Klopp will hope to have Thiago Alcantara fit again. The Spaniard has missed the last four matches after suffering a calf injury (via ESPN).
