Liverpool: Fans slam club’s decision not to offer Nathaniel Clyne a short-term extension

Once the Premier League returns, Liverpool will be on their way to securing their first ever Premier League title, but not with Nathaniel Clyne in tow.
The club have opted not to renew the defender’s contract past this summer but have also decided against a short-term extension. Adam Lallana has been offered a deal of this nature, which will see him see out the delayed season but he will still be leaving Anfield in the transfer window.
Should Liverpool re-sign Philippe Coutinho?
Yes please

No thanks

However, Clyne will be leaving upon the expiry of his current contract, which will be on June 30 (via Transfermarkt).
According to James Pearce (relayed via @AnfieldEdition), the 29-year-old is not even training with the first team. He is hosting his own solo training sessions in Kirkby, five miles from Melwood.
Plenty of Liverpool fans have responded to the update and aren’t happy with the decision at all. One supporter has tweeted that it is ‘poor from the club’, as they feel a player who has dedicated five years of service to the Reds should be honoured with a Premier League medal.

Actually why he has been treated like this? Curious.

Have no problem treating Clyney like this but have no problem rolling the red carpet out for Lallana, Both been non existent in recent years with injury

Nathaniel Clyne deserves better than training alone to wrap up his Liverpool career. Always rated him, hope he can continue his career at a high level.
