Flocking to Twitter, it's safe to say many Liverpool fans haven't been impressed with the first half performance of Reds midfielder James Milner.

Jurgen Klopp's men take on Norwich City in the opening Premier League weekend at Carrow Road as they aim to mount a challenge for silverware this campaign.

It's been a quiet transfer market for Liverpool with much of their business coming down to renewing deals for their star players.

As such, The Reds may be up against it this campaign barring some late twists and turns - but that isn't to say they have been ineffective so far away to Norwich.

Liverpool are leading the contest after a difficult task put up by Daniel Farke's men early on, but one player who Reds fans haven't been impressed with is Milner in the middle of the park.

The 35-year-old sometimes appeared to be overrun alongside Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in central midfield, perhaps summed by his actions in the 25th minute.

Attempting to win the ball back off Teemu Pukki, Milner instead stuck a rash leg out and got shown the first yellow card of the game - with fans appearing to cry out for better.

Reds supporters certainly believe this hasn't been his finest afternoon so far, find their verdicts from social media down below.
