Liverpool: James Pearce confirms ‘big boost’ for Wolves as fans react

Writing on Twitter, reliable Liverpool correspondent James Pearce has confirmed the fan attendance at Anfield as Wolves travel to Merseyside – with supporters going on to hail the ‘beautiful news‘ in response to his update.
Since the United Kingdom was forced into a nationwide lockdown back in March, supporters haven’t been able to attend matches due to fears of spreading a worldwide pandemic – but this weekend, after it was announced that Liverpool fall into the Tier 2 category, a small section of fans have been allowed to make an Anfield return.
Pearce confirmed on social media that the numbers allocated will be 1,500 on the famous KOP stand and 500 in the new Main Stand, which comes as a potentially ‘big boost’ given that Reds fans will be able to give their vocal support to Jurgen Klopp’s championship-winning side for the first time since they won the famous trophy.
Flocking to Twitter, these fans were certainly overjoyed at a huge update – find all of their best comments from social media down below.
