Liverpool: Jurgen Klopp provides injury update vs Bournemouth

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has provided an optimistic injury update ahead of his team’s Premier League clash vs Bournemouth on Saturday.
The Lowdown: Liverpool’s injury crisis
The Reds suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Manchester United on Monday, though were hampered by the fact that several first-team players were out on the sidelines.
The Merseyside outfit currently have an astonishing nine of their stars ruled out of action, alongside Darwin Nunez who is suspended as a result of his red card against Crystal Palace earlier in the month.
The Latest: Klopp’s injury update
Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Friday, Klopp confirmed that no players are yet fit enough to return to take on the Cherries at Anfield, but provided a ‘positive’ update on their progress.
As quoted by Liverpool’s official website, he said:
“This weekend probably not but after that Joel, Curtis, Thiago is not too far away, Diogo is getting closer, Caoimhin will be in training, I think, early next week as well. So yeah, positive news but I don’t think anybody will be ready for tomorrow.”
The Verdict: Every point counts
Liverpool edging closer to getting some of their most influential players back will come as a huge boost after the number of unfortunate problems they have picked up over the past few weeks.
Whilst only three games of the new season have been played, results being produced in the here and now will of course have a significant impact on who lifts the trophy next year, so the Reds need to start picking up points if they want to still be in with a shot at the title.
Will Liverpool beat Bournemouth?
Yes

No

Klopp will be hoping that his side can regain some form starting this weekend and collect a much-needed victory against Scott Parker’s Bournemouth.
