Many Liverpool fans were full of appreciation for the new boy on the block Ozan Kabak after his side’s 2-0 win against RB Leipzig out in Budapest.
The Reds comfortably beat the side currently sitting second in the Bundesliga, thanks to goals from Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane who both latched onto defensive errors.
Kabak, who arrived at Anfield on deadline day, may have sent a message to sporting director Michael Edwards about a possible permanent deal in the summer after his performance on Tuesday night.
Per Sofascore, the Turkey international completed four tackles, three interceptions, won seven out of his nine total duels and accumulated a pass success rate of 84% – compared to his Liverpool teammates, nobody made more tackles or interceptions than him, and only Mane won more duels than him.
Should Kabak start against Everton?
With this in mind, supporters applauded Kabak’s efforts and are looking ahead to see if he can replicate his form in the Premier League after a slow domestic start, while one fan in particular was quick to laud sporting director, Michael Edwards, for his work in getting a deal done for him.
Fans applaud Kabak’s European debut
“Well done @ozankabak4 – excellent maturity in your performance. Onwards and upwards”
“Well in lad. Great courage in your performance. Great courage in the way you speak.”
“Solid mate – absolute rock at the back today”

Kabak looked more money than Upamecano tonight! Michael Edwards has done it again!! Worry for Everton after seeing tonight!! Klopp was driving this team from the touch line with passion and praise! #YNWA@LFC
