Liverpool: Reds ‘in the mix’ to sign Borussia Dortmund duo

Liverpool: Reds ‘in the mix’ to sign Borussia Dortmund duo -Liverpool News

Liverpool are ‘in the mix’ to sign young Borussia Dortmund duo Jude Bellingham and Youssoufa Moukoko, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.

The Lowdown: Liverpool eyeing up new signings

The Reds have looked liked an ageing side at times this season, with years of high-octane football seemingly catching up on a number of individuals.

Jurgen Klopp will surely be eyeing up new signings in the January transfer window and next summer, with Bellingham a player who has been constantly linked with a move to Anfield.

It looks as though he isn’t the only Dortmund starlet the Reds are eyeing, though.

The Latest: Dortmund duo could sign

Speaking to GiveMeSport, O’Rourke claimed that both the England international and Moukoko are on Liverpool’s radar, which he believes is “exciting” for the Anfield faithful.

He outlined:

“I think if Jude Bellingham excels for England at the World Cup, he’s got the potential to become a superstar in the game, and I’m sure you’ll have all the biggest clubs around the world looking to sign Bellingham.

“So, it won’t be easy for Liverpool to sign either of these players, but it’s exciting for the fans that they’re in the mix for both of them.”

The Verdict: Huge double swoop

Securing a double swoop for Bellingham and Moukoko, potentially next summer, could be a masterstroke by Liverpool, should the funds be available to complete it.

Both players are in line to feature at the World Cup, having made the England and Germany squads respectively, so the Reds could have multiple opportunities to witness the exciting teenage duo in action over the coming weeks.

First up, how many Liverpool players won the 1966 World Cup with England?

Bellingham’s brilliance is well-known by now – he has scored four goals in five Champions League appearances this season – but the latter is a big prospect in his own right.

At 17, Moukoko would come in as a long-term addition who could be the future of Liverpool’s attack, having already scored 11 times in 59 matches for Dortmund’s senior team despite not yet reaching his adult years (he turns 18 on Sunday).
