Liverpool: Fans fume at Thiago during Merseyside Derby

Many Liverpool fans were not impressed with midfielder Thiago Alcantara during his side’s Premier League clash against Everton on Saturday evening.
The 29-year-old started in the centre of midfield alongside Georginio Wijnaldum and Curtis Jones, but found himself dropping deep on occasions to cover for makeshift centre-back and captain Jordan Henderson.
Thiago, who signed from Bayern Munich last summer for £20m, gave the ball away which led to Richarlison’s opening goal early in the first half.
Before the game, the Spaniard had yet to score or provide any assists from eight Premier League starts (Whoscored) after picking up a knee injury during the reverse fixture at Goodison Park.
Should Thiago be dropped?
Yes

No

Unsurprisingly, supporters were quick to get on Thiago’s case on social media as frustrated supporters made their feelings clear.
