Liverpool: Xherdan Shaqiri drops team news hint on Instagram

Liverpool midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri has dropped a huge hint on social media that he could feature in tonight’s Premier League encounter against Newcastle United.
Shaqiri to feature?
The 29-year-old has barely played during the 2020/21 campaign having only made two starts in all competitions for the Reds, none of which have come in the Premier League (Whoscored).
The Switzerland international was ruled out with a muscle issue last month and only returned to first-team training recently after missing Liverpool’s last nine games.
Posting on his official Instagram account, Shaqiri, who was described as “breath-taking” by The Athletic journalist James Pearce, showed his preparations and left an enticing caption which may be hinting to his involvement at St James’ Park later on.

Transfer Tavern Verdict
This is great news for Liverpool. While Shaqiri tends to be overlooked, Diogo Jota’s injury could be his way back into the team.
The Swiss attacker has been unfortunate since his move from Stoke City in 2018, with several calf injuries hampering his progress under Jurgen Klopp.
That being said, if he can stay fit from now until the end of the season, Shaqiri could become a vital asset for Liverpool in their hunt for a second Premier League title.
In other news, Chris Sutton makes huge claim about Jurgen Klopp’s attitude after Liverpool draw with West Brom.
