Kylian Mbappe has been linked with a move to Liverpool in recent months.
Given that the Reds are the current European champions, it makes sense that they would be mentioned in connection with a move for one of the most promising players on the planet. The 21-year-old is already a World Cup winner, having scored in the final for France against Croatia in 2018, and has already bagged 90 goals in 120 matches during his time with PSG.
Liverpool reporter James Pearce, though – via LFC Transfer Room – does not believe that the Anfield outfit will be making a move for the former Monaco man. He has said that manager Jurgen Klopp would rather find who the next Mbappe will be rather than sign Mbappe himself.
Would you like Liverpool to sign Mbappe?
This has not gone down massively well with the club’s supporters, it seems. They have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts, and you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.
@JamesPearceLFC @TheAthleticUK just say that Klopp is afraid to work with superstars. He cannot attract a single superstar to the club. It is a shame that the biggest club in England and the most powerful club in the world at the moment cannot attract big blockbusters.

So we can’t afford Mbappe so let’s try and find our own to sell on for a big profit. Typical FSG. https://t.co/WyosGKN4aj

It’s pure arrogance. Look at us, we got to the top without Mbappe, we can sign Mbappe but we won’t, we will sign youngers instead because we good at this thing. Not substainable. Klopp is a football GOD he’s worked miracles https://t.co/fWegY3WntU
