Former Premier League star Nigel Jemson believes that Mohamed Salah could leave Liverpool in the summer.
The Egypt international has emerged as one of the best players in world football during his time at Anfield.
Since arriving from Serie A club Roma, Salah has made 207 appearances for the club and has scored 128 goals, registering 49 assists.
Will Mohamed Salah go down as one of the greatest in Liverpool history?
Last season, Salah scored 22 goals in 37 games and already has three goals and two assists to his name this term in four games.
However, Jemson believes that the 29-year-old could well be sold next summer to finance a move for a player such as Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland.
Salah’s current contract is set to expire in 2023 and he is valued by Transfermarkt at £90m.
Speaking exclusively to The Transfer Tavern, he said: “I wouldn’t be surprised to see someone like Salah go at the end of the season.
“If they can get 100 million for him or something like that, and get a couple of players in like Haaland and somebody else, it might be good business for Liverpool.”
Salah has won the Premier League, the Champions League, and the FIFA Club World Cup during his time on Merseyside.
